We love to give introductory talks. If times listed are inconvenient, we can often do other days and times by request. You can book into any of the given talks immediately. If none are currently listed, or if you have any questions for the teacher, please contact the centre directly - full details and email form on our "contact us" page.
We are also happy to come and talk to groups and societies.
Introductory talks are free of charge. Find out all you want to know about meditation in general, and about TM in particular directly from properly accredited teachers who have decades of experience. There is no pressure to sign up for a course.
Why is Transcendental Meditation unique? Does it work for everyone? Is the scientific research reliable? Bring all your questions. The introductory talk is a necessary first step to learning TM, but after that you are all ready to get going as soon as there is a starting date that suits your schedule. Scroll down for dates of courses.

Courses of Instruction
Courses are scheduled to start by appointment on
- Saturday 17 December (meetings 7.30 Sun, Mon, Tue)
- Saturdays 14, 28 January (meetings 7.30 Sun, Mon, Tue)
- Saturdays 11, 25 February (meetings 7.30 Sun, Mon, Tue)
Additional courses are often scheduled depending on demand. These are sometimes daytime, weekday courses. Transcendental Meditation classes are offered by appointment in seven steps, at times convenient to you.
The first three steps can be taken in one session (Introductory lecture; Preparatory lecture; Personal interview).
Step 4 – Personal instruction in Transcendental Meditation and steps 5, 6 and 7 must be taken over consecutive days for 1.5 - 2 hrs each session. We typically do Personal Instruction on a Saturday or Sunday by appointment during the day, with the meetings at 7.30 on the following three evenings, but there is some flexibility with times of the meetings. The first course review is generally on the following Tuesday at 7.30.
Included in the course fee is a six-month follow up programme of regular checking and knowledge meetings, to ensure the best start and maximum benefits over time.
