3. Maharishi University of Management, Iowa, USA

Three months or more
Currently, a special offer exists for attending the Assembly at Maharishi University of Management. If you can come for three months or more, it's free - thanks to the generosity of the Howard and Alice Settle Foundation. This includes free board at the brand new, Vedic architecture Argiro Student Centre with excellent catering, and lodging in comfortable buildings right opposite the Yogic Flying facilities, or Domes. There are no other fees: you only require your airfare.

Less than three months
If you can't manage three months, then it's still very cheap, with no course fee or Dome fee, and accommodation on campus starts from $150 a week. Meals at the Argiro are $8, or less if you buy a batch of 30 tickets.

Application procedure
See the Invincible America Assembly website for details; fill out an application form, obtain approval from the UK National Office, and complete a request for financial aid if you can stay for even one month. Financial aid comprises all accommodation and meals: you only need to pay your airfare. If you want to phone the IAA office, it is six hours behind the UK, and the office is open 1:30 - 4:30 pm US time; phone numbers are on the website.

There are lots of activities on campus to enjoy during your free time, including celebrations, lectures, films and so on. You can also do pottery, sing with the choral group, learn Vedic dance ...

Visa
You don't need a visa if you are coming for 90 days or less - just get an on-line visa waiver: apply through the ESTA website. The Assembly office is happy to let you have financial aid for a stay of 88 days so that you are within the visa waiver scheme, with a couple of days to spare.
